Our Purpose

To fulfil the great commission and great commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ this is to preach the Gospel, to reach the lost and to glorify God.
The mission of Shalom Christian Fellowship is formulated on the basis of the Holy Bible and the need to spread the word of God throughout the world.
Jesus makes it very clear that the reason he wanted His people to develop true community was “so that the world may believe and be saved” (John 3:16). This is His ultimate goal. There is no doubt that it is when the fellowship most clearly lives out the gospel in the relationship of its members, it becomes the most powerful force for attracting non-members.

Core values

Gospel focused

we believe gospel is the central to Christian life. To proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and make disciples of all kinds of people is the message given to world by Jesus Christ.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age – (Mathew 28:19, 20). Jesus said to His followers, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” – (Mark 16:15). The combination of these two elements, evangelism and discipleship, are generally considered as Christ’s primary mission for His fellowship.

Spiritual Growth

We believe spiritual growth is a journey to the eternal life. It is an integral part of Shalom Christian Fellowship and intend to help and equip people to understand how the word of God applies to every aspect of our lives and that we all may seek to grow to maturity.

God Centered Fellowship

Our aim is to be a God centred fellowship in praise, prayer and worship, proclaiming the truth of the Gospel to reconcile persons to Christ. Our Lord’s purpose of fellowship, besides bringing people to God, is to gather His people together and facilitate a corporate environment of worship, to express our love toward Him and one another.
To raise our voice towards singing, praying and worshipping God are the three basic elements practised in our fellowship in the name of the Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. (Mark 12:30). The bible also says, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.(Mark 12:31).Shalom Christian Fellowship aims to live in the content of community for support, accountability, care and help each other and serve God’s creation.

Community of worship and fellowship

To make every effort to create a culture of acceptance, mutual respect, peace, love and acknowledgement that each person bring to the growth of our community.
To manifest the presence and love of Jesus by facilitating a spiritual environment of worship, involve in the ministry for the Glory of God. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Mathew 18:20).
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, (Luke 4:18, 19). We believe that a Christian fellowship can spread the light to the dark. “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” (John 3:19).

A Condition of Christ's earthly ministry

Every believer has a purpose because God has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation”. So it is our responsibility to bring souls to Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father”.(John 14:12)
